The Owls are set to play their biggest game of the season on Saturday, knowing anything other than a defeat will guarantee them the final play-off spot in the SkyBet Championship.

With just two games remaining in the season, the Owls lie four points ahead of Cardiff.

An excellent second half of the season saw the Owls climb the table. They are now just one point away from making the playoffs for the first time since they were promoted in the Championship in 2012.

Owls boss Carlos Carvalhal said: “The next game is important, we know that one point is enough to achieve the sixth position but we play all the games, all the season to try to win and to try for the three points”.

If Sheffield Wednesday fail to grab at least a point, they will have to face Wolves knowing that they need to match Cardiff’s result.

The Owls superior goal difference will help them, but they are keen to not let this opportunity slip.
