Owls in hunt for Premier League glory

The Owls are set to kick off the Sky Bet Championship play-offs following their 3-0 victory over Cardiff on the penultimate game of the season.

Derby’s draw at Brighton on Saturday cemented their position in sixth place which will give Carlos Carvalhal’s side a chance to restore their former glory.

Wednesday will face either Middlesbrough or Brighton in the semi-finals as the two prepare to face off to decide who will take the final automatic promotion spot.

Middlesbrough only need to avoid defeat to the Seagulls to guarantee their promotion to the Premier League on goal difference, where-as only three points will be enough for Brighton to knock them off second place.

The feeling around Owls’ supporters is overwhelmingly optimistic, with many believing that this is finally their year.

The first leg of the play-off semi-final is to be held on Friday 13 May with the second leg away from home being on Monday 16 May.

Tickets for the match are on sale now for season ticket holders only, with a general release on Sunday 8 May.
