Springs Leisure Centre re-opens following chemical leak

Springs Leisure Centre has reopened today following a chemical leak that hospitalised eight children and two teachers with sickness symptoms.
The centre, in Norton, Sheffield reopened at 7am this morning, after being shut down following a reaction of chemicals in the plant room.
The fault has now been repaired.
The children who have been affected were taking part in a school swimming lesson when the incident occurred.
Steve Brailey, chief executive of venue operator SIV, said: “We would like to pass on our best wishes to the children and teachers affected by the incident.
