Sheffield’s biggest Christmas light switch on event was announced earlier this week.
The city centre lights will be turned on at 5:30pm on 20th November, from the stage in the Peace Gardens.
As is tradition, the Sheffield Christmas market will be running from 2pm alongside fairground rides and other street entertainment.
The city centre will play host to choirs, craft activities and Santa’s Grotto.
The Sheffield-based National Emergency Services Museum will also be there to show off their display of emergency vehicles.
Last year around 35,000 people packed into the city centre to witness the Christmas light switch on, with champion fundraiser John Burkhill chosen to flick the switch.
The headline guest to switch on the lights this year is still to be announced.
