The Bar Stewards Micro Pub will be opening on Gibraltar Street in Sheffield this weekend.
Charlie Mullen originally from Devon and Alan Quinlen from Ammanford, South West Wales, who run The Bar Stewards, have both been residents in Sheffield for many years.
They were able to open the Micro Pub after applying for a temporary licence to sell alcohol, allowing them to compete with the fraternity of popular pubs in the area around Gibraltar Street.
Sheffield is the birthplace of the UK Craft beer evolution with one brewery for every 23,991 people.
With over 400 different beers available daily in Sheffield and Kelham Island having some of Sheffield’s most popular pubs, Charlie and Alan from The Bar Stewards were asked whether they saw opening a Micro Pub in Sheffield as challenging or exciting.
