A roaring 1920’s Great Gatsby theme Gin Tasting Evening will be held for charity in the Leopold Hotel.

The event is called the Sheffield Soiree and flappers will be swept back to the 1920’s with a themed fancy dress evening, a live swing band and a silent auction.

All of the money made will go to The Children’s Hospital Charity.

Zoe-Jade Fraser, 23, student from Sheffield Hallam University was in charge of organising this event and said she is very excited and hopes the night will be successful.

Newfangled Events is made up of 4 Events Management with Tourism Students from Sheffiled Hallam University and they have come together to put on a memorable event to raise money for The Children’s Hospital Charity.

Miss Fraser also said: “I think it is so important for people to motivate others to do a good deed and to raise money for charities”.

Tickets are £30 each and the money raised through donations buys life-saving equipment, funds vital research and treatment for thousands of children from across the world and helps create a comfortable engaging environment for the patients.

Community fundraising assistant for The Children’s Hospital Charity, Caitlin Hallatt said: “Over the years students from Sheffield Hallam have raised thousands for our charity and we’re so grateful for their continued dedication. We wish them every success with their event!”

The extravagant evening will have a professional photo upon arrival, a themed welcome cocktail, Luxury Canapés and tasting of 4 Gins explained and discussed.

The event will be held on March 3rd 2016.
