Preview: Oldham Athletic v Sheffield United

Chris Wilder’s Sheffield United are hoping to extend their winning run to 4 games in the EFL League One.

The Sheffield club are one of the most in form teams in the division having beaten Charlton 2-1 on the weekend meaning United are now standing at 78 points.

United are hoping to get promoted to the championship, where their fierce rivals Sheffield Wednesday play their football. The two clubs haven’t met since 2012 with Wednesday defeating United 1-0.

United, who will travel to Oldham on Saturday, could potentially move 9 points ahead of their title rivals Bolton Wanderers depending on other results.

The manager Wilder has already revealed in his press conference that he is willing to recall some of his more out of favour players into the squad but emphasised that his current squad is fully fit.

Some fans have already started to dream of promotion to the championship:

The game will kick off at 15:00 at Boundary Park with United’s away end being a complete sell out.
