Police appeal after woman assaulted with egg

A woman was assaulted with an egg in an alleged hate crime following a football match at Bramall Lane.


The 54-year-old woman was walking through the post-match crowd on London Road when she had the egg thrown at her.


The street was busy with fans following a win by Sheffield United against Chesterfield on the 30th April.


South Yorkshire Police are appealing for witnesses of the incident that occurred around 2:30pm.
