Thieves strike three times in three days

9 May 2017

Thieves have struck at three shops on a single street in Totley during a three-day period.

The most recent break-in on Baslow Road was at Totley Deli and Café last Saturday at 1.15am, with three charity boxes, other stock and electrical objects stolen.

Police were alerted after a passer-by noticed the shop had been broken into and the door was damaged.

Shop owner, Sheri Haslehurst, 63, said: “I came down at half six on Saturday morning to find a police note on the door. I didn’t know what had happened.”

Elsewhere, the Mirage Electronic Cigarettes store was broken into last Friday, but nothing was stolen.

Totley Tails and Whiskers pet shop was also broken into last Thursday.

Anyone with information can contact police on 101.
