Sheffield City Centre welcomed the annual Continental Market today, with food, delicacies, and native items all for sale at the various stalls set up at Fargate.
This market holds roughly 50 stalls, selling a wide variety of food from across the world.
Several local shops who run stalls in the market see it as a chance to take advantage of the warmer weather and drive trade with the passing foot traffic.
Patrice Debiere, 35, who runs travelling French bakery Patisserie Petite, said: “We love coming to Sheffield, it’s a very welcoming city, especially when the weather is this nice and everyone is so happy. I’ve been baking since I was a small boy and love doing this every day!”
May is one of the busiest months for the steel city, with the 2018 Betfred Snooker World Championship taking place at the Crucible theatre.
The Continental Market will be held throughout May.
