Arrest in connection with Sheffield shooting

A 34-year-old man has been arrested today in connection with the Woodthorpe shooting this week.

The incident, that took place on Tuesday morning, left a 29-year-old man with a wound in his leg.

Officers investigating the incident on Chadwick Road are holding a Sheffield man in custody after arresting him on suspicion of wounding with intent to do grievous bodily harm.

South Yorkshire Police are asking anyone who saw the incident to call 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
