Sheffield Eagles to face Batley Bulldogs tomorrow night

The Sheffield Eagles are facing the Batley Bulldogs tomorrow night in hopes of extending their unbeaten start to the season. The Eagles could go to the top of the Rugby League Championship with a victory on Friday night.

This will be their fifth round in the championship league.

The Sheffield Eagles are currently going through their final training and preparations at the Sheffield Hallam University sports park.

Mark Aston, the head coach, seems optimistic. He said: “We’ve just got to worry about ourselves and make sure we can keep the standards high and if we do that then I’m quite confident we can get the result.

“We’re going to have to work hard.”

The Eagles previously played on the 15th February against the Bradford Bulls where they went to the top of the Championship table courtesy of a 24-10 victory. During this game the Eagles bounced back from 10-0 down to keep the Bulls scoreless in the second half and claim a third straight victory.

Over the last eight encounters the bulldogs have had six wins, leaving the Eagles behind with only two.
