A Pitsmoor drug den has been shut down after police seized class A drugs and arrested two people.
The property, on Carwood Way, was raided by police, after officers had monitored the building since October 2018, following reports of groups of people causing problems for neighbouring homes.
Investigating Officer PC Dave Ward said: “This closure order is a result of tireless work by our neighbourhood team, which is worth shouting about, but the relationship we have with both our colleagues in the ASB team and the local authority should not be underestimated either.
“We hope that neighbouring properties will be pleased and hopefully it’ll have a positive impact on residents’ quality of life on the Carwood estate,” he added.
The order was approved by Sheffield Magistrates Court today and will run for three months, with the current tenant being evicted.
Neighbourhood officers have worked closely with the forces ASB team and Sheffield City Council with the aim of securing a closure order for the address and other problematic areas.
