The launch was celebrated at Ambulo, a new café set up in the Millennium Gallery.

Dave Coulson, team manager and sporting director said: “There’s nothing like Cycling Sheffield in the UK. I’m a Sheffielder through and through, and I think the city now more than ever has a lot to offer.”

“The team is unique in the UK in that it is primarily about promoting our Sheffield partners, sponsors, and the city as a whole.

“Sheffield is the perfect fit, it’s the outdoor city. It’s a lot of work but it can’t fail.”

The event featured a car embellished with logos of all the local businesses Cycling Sheffield has partnered up with.

Ambulo has become a partner of Cycling Sheffield, and will be hosting events for the team throughout the year.

Sally Evans, Founder of Millichamp Limited, a marketing and communications consultancy, said: “There’s a massive amount of value with what Dave’s doing and what the guys are doing on the road. There’s the opportunity to do various things that can help with social responsibility.”
