The Continental Circus Berlin, which is currently on a European Tour, will be in Hillsborough until May 12.
The show is all based on human acts and production, and promises “an amalgamation of brilliant Circus acts, music & real youthful energy, incorporating fantastic performers from all over the world”.
David Fitzgerald, the general manager of the Continental Circus Berlin, said: “You’re not sitting in front of a computer screen, you’re watching people risk their lives right in front of your eyes.”
“I think that’s really the beauty of circus. Where else can you get that kind of entertainment?”
The show will feature acts from aerialists and juggling, to high wire walkers and the “Globe of Steel”; a high risk act where motorcyclists speed around a steel cage at 70mph.
Globe of Steel rider John said: “We feel glad that people are impressed by our performance. I’m looking forward to doing it tonight.”
Prices start from £8 for children and £12 for adults.
Mr Fitzgerald added: “My favourite part is the end of the show when people leave, and you see the kids smiling.”
“When you see someone happy, and you know you’ve touched their lives, that’s a really good feeling.”
