A 70-year-old woman picks up her roller skates again after 6 decades for a role in the musical Footloose.
Mary Newey, Chairman of Woodseats Musical Theatre Company will be playing Betty blast, a burger bar owner in the musical.
Phill Newey, Mary’s Husband said: “When she was 10, she was very good at roller skate. She has to learn roller skate again, it will be quite funny.”
“It’s not a very big part. It’s sort of a comedy part in the show.”
Footloose: The Musical will be presented by Woodseats Musical Theatre Company at the Montgomery Theatre in Sheffield from 10 to 13 July.
