First of its kind nationwide fake festival comes to Sheffield

16 May 2019

Sheffield is set to host the annual “Fake Festival” this month in Endcliffe park.

Endcliffe Park – where the festival is meant to take place.

The festival hosts “pro level” fake bands as tribute to the classic musicians like The Rolling Stones or Oasis. Some of the bands that will be headlining this festival include, “The Stones”, “Oasish”, and “Guns2Roses”.

Fake Festivals said on their website that they are bringing “professional ‘touring-grade’ tribute bands that put on a superb performance.” They also described that the fake bands look, sound and move like the actual rock-stars.

The festival will feature an inside bar, food traders, entertainment stalls for both adults and children, and parking and camping facilities. It is one of the very few festivals which allow children and babies. Children below 9 do not require a ticket.

The main festival takes place inside the Fake Festivals “purpose built marquee”.

The festival is organised for families to enjoy a fun day out in nature. It also gives the families a chance to meet up with other people within the local community while listening to live bands.
