We’re going on a bear hunt: Bears of Sheffield edge closer to summer trail

The Bears of Sheffield team have made progress towards the launch of their sculpture trail this summer.

The decoration of the 60 large bears is underway and the 100 little bears have now been delivered to the local schools, nurseries and colleges who will be decorating them.

The trail will begin in July, exactly a year after it was originally planned to go ahead.

Cheryl Davidson, the event’s organiser, said: “Since the postponement last year, we have worked tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure the bears can be enjoyed safely.

“This has included assessing each location to ensure social distancing can be followed, discouraging touching of the sculptures, and limiting the amount placed closely to one other.”
