Sheffield cat charity boosted by fundraising from new city food hall

24 February 2022

A pair of cat lovers who launched their charity ‘Cat-CHING Sheffield’ in 2019 to tackle the overpopulation of stray cats have been given a boost after a local restaurant named them as their charity of the year.

Jasmine Rogers and Lauren James-Thompson follow Trap Neuter Return programmes, fostering cats and kittens, and providing shelter until they are rehomed.

The work carried out by the founders has been recognised throughout the city and has led to them becoming Sheffield Plate’s charity of the year for 2021.

Jasmine said: “It is going to be quite a good experience for both of us. We are planning  doing some fundraising events at the Sheffield Plate and it is going to be really beneficial for us to run them there rather than find other locations to do it.”
