In a press conference on Tuesday, the Uk’s biggest ice hockey team revealed a new seven year contract extension which will see them play at the venue for the next eight seasons.
Steeler’s owner and chairman, Tony Smith said he was looking forward to a long partnership with the arena.
The Utilita has been home to the Steelers since the team was formed in 1991 and now have the 15th best attendance in all of Europe.
The deal confirms the venue as the home of the Steelers even amidst uncertainty over the future of the arena as current landlords, Sheffield City Trust, are set to cut ties after next season.
