Climate groups in Sheffield came together this week to support a one hour silent climate vigil at the town hall.
Fran Haddock, an avid participant and climate change activist, said: “The vigil is held to raise and bring awareness, by giving voices through passing the mic and issuing placards highlighting the climate crisis.”
The event is also designed to be accessible, allowing attendants to sit or stand if preferred for session.
Future vigils will be held monthly on the following dates and locations:
- On the first Thursday of every month at Howard St, in the city centre, between 5-6pm
- On the third Monday of every month at the Town Hall between 12-1pm
