The Sheffield Steelkings Para Ice Hockey Club are competing in their first league game since the pandemic, this weekend.
The side travel to Manchester to face Mayhem on Saturday as they look to add more silverware to the club. The Steelkings won the domestic double, the league and the play-offs, in 2019 before all competitions were stopped due to COVID.
An influx of players has meant that the Steelkings have created a development side called ‘The Sheffield Steelstings’, who will be making their competitive debut in the same league as the Steelkings.
Shef News went to Ice Sheffield on Tuesday, to view one of their final training sessions before their season opener at the weekend.
