Sheffield United face a tough challenge to secure a play-off place on Saturday as they play the league champions Fulham, in a tight fight to keep Premier League dreams alive.
Heckingbottom will hope his side can build upon the teams’ wins in their last two games, including a comeback 1-3 away at Loftus Road.
A win would guarantee their place in the play-off semi final, however with other results going their way a draw would be enough and even a loss.
Jack Robinson, speaking after the game last Friday night, said: “Coming into this season, we stuttered early on, but we found form under Hecky and we’ve just absolutely kicked on unbelievably so. It’s been unbelievable for the lads to be up there again and chasing promotion.”
Robinson added that the experience in the latter stages in the season in the squad would be a massive help in getting their spot in the play-off places.
Blades fans will be hoping that the Fulham players are already on the beach after lifting the trophy at their last home game with an emphatic 7-0 win over Luton Town.
Fulham come into this game full of confidence and free-scoring – as they have been all season, however the Cottagers have experienced a mixture of results recently picking up seven points from a possible 15 in their last five games.
Aleksander Mitrovic has scored 43 goals this season, a record breaking amount contributing to the small matter of Fulham scoring over 100 goals this campaign.
All Championship games kick off at 12:30 on Saturday where four teams fight for the remaining two spots.
League rivals Luton play struggling Reading, Middlesbrough play the already promoted Bournemouth and Millwall take a trip to Preston North End.
