Peaty’s Steel City Downhill race has returned to Sheffield after two years post-lockdown. 

Peaty’s Steel City Downhill race has returned to Sheffield after two years post-lockdown. 

The mountain bike event has returned to Sheffield after being post-poned for two years in a row due to the pandemic. Peaty’s Steel City takes place this weekend in Greno Woods, Sheffield.

Founded by a group of local riders in 2011, bikers will proceed down a trails along-side ‘Woodhead Mountain Rescue’ search and rescue team, who raise money to provide adequate search and rescue services in Sheffield and South Yorkshire. 

Rides of all ages and abilities can participate in the races. 

Thousands gathered to eat, drink and enjoy the races in the sunshine.
